The terms that decide drone-detection procurements, defined for buyers — not for engineers showing off.
- Remote ID (RID) — the digital licence plate broadcast by law
- RID Receiver — hardware that receives and logs the broadcast
- RF-Spectrum Detection — sensing drones by the radio they emit
- Wi-Fi NAN — the Wi-Fi carrier for long-range RID broadcasts
- Bluetooth Long Range — the 2.4 GHz carrier most drones use
- Direction Finding (DF) — estimating the bearing to a transmitter
