Wi-Fi NAN

Wi-Fi Neighbor Awareness Networking — the carrier that carries Remote ID at long range.

Wi-Fi NAN (Neighbor Awareness Networking) is a Wi-Fi mode in which devices cluster and exchange data without an access point. ASTM F3411 Remote ID broadcasts can ride NAN action frames, which is how many drones transmit their identity over useful distances without connecting to anything. For receiver buyers, NAN support matters: a unit that decodes both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi NAN hears more of the fleet, and the two carriers behave differently in congested RF. Encode it into your evaluation the same way you would a range claim — with test conditions stated.
