Privacy
This page describes everything this site collects and does with it, in plain language. Controller: Ridfinder — company details on the legal page. Last updated: September 2026.
What we collect
- Contact form. Name or organisation, work email, country, the service you are interested in, and your requirement text. Together with it we store technical attribution: the page you submitted from, the landing page that brought you here, and UTM parameters if the link carried any — so we can answer in context and see which material was useful. Each enquiry gets a reference number (RF-…).
- Newsletter. Your email address and the subscription date. Nothing else.
- Cookies and local storage. One preference item (rfConsent) that remembers your cookie choice. We set no advertising cookies and run no cross-site trackers of our own.
- Analytics. Aggregate visit measurement only loads after you press “Accept all” in the cookie dialog. “Essential only” keeps your visit unmeasured.
- Server logs. The hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard security logs under its own retention policy.
Why we process it
- Enquiries: to answer you and, if you proceed, to deliver the service — steps prior to a contract and legitimate interest.
- Newsletter: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time; every list we run is one you asked to be on.
- Server logs: legitimate interest — keeping the site secure and working.
Where it lives, and who processes it
Enquiries are stored in this site’s database and in log files on the hosting account; notification emails go to and through service@ridfinder.com (Hostinger mail). We do not sell enquiry data and we add you to no marketing list without asking.
If you order a paid report, the payment itself is handled by Stripe or your bank — we receive the payment confirmation, not your card data. If a supplier introduction makes sense, your details are shared with that supplier only after you approve the specific introduction — in writing, with the recipient named.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records: as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up project. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. If you ask for deletion, we delete the database entry and the log records referencing you.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for correction or deletion, restrict or object to processing, and — if in the EU/UK — lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Requests go through the contact page and are answered within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new date.
